The opening hole at King's Deer Golf Club is a downhill Par 4 with a slight dogleg left. Aim your tee shot right of the fairway bunker if you hope to have a view of the green for your approach shot.
The 2nd hole is a mid length Par 3 that requires the golfer to carry their tee shot all the way to the green or risk losing their ball in the native grass. The front of the green is guarded by bunkers on both the left and the right.
The 3rd hole is a long Par 4. The tee shot must stay clear of the fairway bunkers left and right as well as a creek that runs through the hole. A good drive will leave you with an approach shot that must carry the creek and avoid the greenside bunker on the left and a pond on the right. Par is a great score on this hole.
The 4th hole is a short Par 4. Don't let the short yardage on the card fool you into thinking it's a pushover. Your tee shot must avoid the fairway bunkers and native grasses on the left if you hope to make birdie here. Your approach shot must avoid the creek that intersects the hole and the bunker that guards the fron of the green.
The 5th hole is a reachable Par 5 for most. The tee shot is wide open inviting you to swing for the fences in hopes or getting home in two. A creek that crosses the hole in front of the green will catch any weakly hit approach shots.
